Dan Andreasen is a New York Times bestselling illustrator who has created artwork for more than fifty picture books. He has also written and illustrated seven others with a style that has been described by Kirkus as "cunning and clever." He is the author and illustrator of The Giant of Seville, which School Library Journal called in a starred review "a stand out package." Dan is the illustrator of two of the American Girl historical characters, Felicity and Samantha. His publishing clients include Harper Collins, Simon and Schuster, Scholastic, Abrams, Disney-Hyperion, Henry Holt, Penguin, American Girl and Harcourt.
Dan's graphic designs have been used to advertise a wide variety of products including Oscar Mayer, Chef Boyardee, Folgers, Harley Davidson, Orville Redenbacher, Kraft, Marks and Spencer and Marshall Fields.
He lives with his family in Medina, Ohio.
