I was born in Banja Luka, Bosnia - part of the former Yugoslavia — in 1983. At age nine, shortly after the civil war outbreak, my family moved to Münster, Germany, where we lived for seven years before settling in the United States in 1998. I finished my BFA in Communication Arts at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2006.
I currently live in Richmond, Virginia where I create commercial Photography, Illustration and Design Work for national and international clients, including: Newsweek, The CFA Institute, Die Zeit, ESPN Magazine, General Mills, Men's Health, Military Officer Magazine, Mountain Dew, Oakley, Playboy Magazine, Port Authority, Runner's World, Scholastic, The Washington Post, and many more. I have established relationships with clients in each area of the art industry, from editorial illustrations for magazines and comic books to concept art and advertising.
I taught at Virginia Commonwealth University for over four years, instructing: Concept Art, Figure Drawing, Digital Drawing, Type & Image, Sequential Imaging, Senior Project/Studio, Visual Studies: Design, and Comics & Graphic Novels.
I continue to serve as an educator for rising artists through The Art Educators Blog to provide advice and show step–by–step process to students and young artists.
My work has received several awards from organizations like: 3×3 Magazine, Creative Quarterly, American Illustration, Richmond Illustrator's Club, Society of Illustrators of NY, Society of Illustrators of LA, and Evangelical Press Association.
