Emily Lui (pronounced loo-ee) received her BFA in Illustration from Brigham Young University in 2018. A young prodigy, during her senior year of college she became one of the youngest artists to be recognized at ICON 10, was an Adobe Design Achievement Award semi-finalist, and was admitted into the Society of Illustrators L.A. Since graduation, she has been honing her craft diligently and continues to serve the world with her empowering illustrations. Emily was raised in Seattle, WA and is currently based in Salt Lake City, UT with her husband and three plants (no, they’re not named). The constant overcast from her rain-soaked youth has given her work a fantastical, misty mood. Her dream pets are Tibetan Mastiffs, Newfoundlands, and basically anything large that can stand in for a house-trained lion, with the ability to double as a horse for future kids. She blames the Chronicles of Narnia for this highly specific pet preference.
