Francesca D’Ottavi, is an artist based in Rome. After a childhood spent drawing hundreds of sketchbooks, she went on to study Fine Arts, becoming a professional illustrator very early on. During her career, spanning over two decades, she has worked for clients all over the world including The New York Times, Boston Globe, Los Angeles Times in the USA, Dorling Kindersley, Kingfisher and Fleurus in Europe, and Weldon Owen in Australia, among others.
She has illustrated editorial sport covers, fiction and non-fiction publications, and designed and illustrated children/young adults book covers and classic literary novels. As a freelance illustrator and proud mother of a lively 5-year-old boy, she dreams of having eight arms, be twenty years younger and a 48-hour day!
