Matt grew up in Utah, spending most of his time exploring farms, creeks, vacant lots, and neighborhoods. Growing up the middle of eight children has helped Matt to understand the importance of humor and imagination. After getting his degree in computer aided drafting and working in the civil engineering field, Matt soon realized that there had to be a more enjoyable way of spending his time other than doing math. He promptly went back to school, graduating from Brigham Young University's Illustration program in 2009. Matt loves what he does. His favorite subjects to illustrate are mischievous children, and outlandish animals. When he’s not painting or drawing, Matt enjoys hiking, camping, and being outdoors with his family and there dog, Blue. Matt lives in Pleasant Grove, Utah, with his amazing wife and their three rambunctious kids who are a constant source of inspiration.
